So what's your most dreaded type of acne? Mine? Nodule acne!

For me nodule acne is always deep, huge, and painful and stays with me the longest.

These lesions are solid irregular in shape, usually one centimeter or larger. They are deeper under the skin and feel firm to the touch.

Thankfully, with good treatment options, I have control over this type of acne and uncontrollable break-outs are extremely rare. Before, this type of acne would require a visit to my dermatologist.

Along with the other serious forms of acne, this type of acne can wreak havoc on ones face, body and self esteem and cause scarring.

Did you know that almost 40% of acne suffers have severe acne? I think this number is staggering!

It is important to recognize this type of acne for what it is…SERIOUS.

You need professional help from a dermatologist to gain control of these breakouts.

You must tackle this acne externally as well as internally.

Thankfully, with good treatment options, I have control over this type of acne, and so will you!

Personally, products which contain Glycolic Acid are the only over-the-counter (OTC) products that has shown to have a positive affect on nodular and cystic acne.

Still, your dermatologist will evaluate your skin and its condition, then recommend a course of treatment. No doubt, your dermatologist will prescribe an oral acne medication for your nodule acne .

Remember you must tackle this acne externally with a good over the counter (OTC) acne treatment or prescription acne treatment and internally with oral acne medication.

Just as importantly you'll need a good acne cleanser, acne toner, and acne moisturizer which includes a sunscreen.
